 How To Cook Cabbage and Split Paratha:

How to Cook :

For Cabbage & Split Stuffing:
Step 1: Heat the oil in a non-stick pan and fry the fennel seeds in it.
Step 2: When the seeds crackle, add the onions in it and stir until they turn into golden brown color and then add the ginger-green chili paste and sauté on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes.
Step 3: Add the coriander powder, turmeric powder, chaat masala, salt and 1 table spoon water in it and cook on a medium flame for 1 minute, while stirring occasionally.
Step 4: Add split gram, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2 minute, while stirring occasionally. Keep aside to cool slightly.

For the dough:

Step 1: Combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl and knead into a soft dough using enough water.
Step 2: Add oil to the dough and knead well.
Step 3: Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and keep aside.

Step by Step cooking:

Step 1: Divide the cabbage and split stuffing into 6 equal portions and keep aside.
Step 2: Roll a portion of the dough into a 100 mm. (4") diameter circle using a little whole wheat flour for rolling.
Step 3: Place one portion of the cabbage and split stuffing in the center, bring together all the sides in the center and seal it tightly.
Step 4: Roll out again into a 125 mm. (5") diameter circle using a little whole wheat flour.
Step 5: Heat a non-stick tava (griddle) and cook the paratha on a medium flame, using a little oil, till golden brown spots appear on both the sides.
Step 6: Repeat steps 2 to 5 to make 5 more parathas.
Step 7: Serve hot with pickle and curds.
